New Year, New Realizations, New Plans

The new year is here, time for building new plans and realizing the long list of to-do's.
Last month of December, I admit I did something great.  I never thought I could achieve such.  It took me decades, literally, to accomplish it.  And I am more grateful to the Almighty God for helping me out so much.  And such accomplishment lead my 2014 to the most upright path.
I have several realizations when I welcomed the new year.
I realize, I should continue doing what I love.  Apart from my day job, I have other interests which fulfills my hunger for the arts and of course, fashion.
Looking back 2013, reminiscing the forecasts of Feng Shui masters, last year was not my year. and even this year, some of them say it's not good others say it'll be okay.  And I realize that I should not allow myself to be drawn into such conclusions.  May it be true or not,  I should go on with what I believe what I ought to do.
I am the type person who lives life day-to-day.  I do look forward for the future but I am more committed to what is in today, checking from time to time if I have been doing things according to what my heart yearns and of course with God's will.
For 2014, I bravely plan to pursue my yesterday's dream, especially my other interests...fashion styling, photography, fashion merchandising, charity works, and all those activities that I have been itching to be into action.

My day job would still be there and my efforts for it would still exceed what is expected from me.
I am ecstatic to act on all my plans for this year.  I have started some, not one buy one, but simultaneous as possible as I can.  I sincerely pray for God's guidance.  And I hope that this enthusiasm should remain as warm from the beginning as it should be in the end of the year.  I envisioned the prosperous fulfillment of the desires of my heart this 2014.

The Color Black

Here's another vintage top from I Dress Up's Vintage Light Collection.

It's an oversized ( because it best fits large frames) sheer button-down long-sleeve blouse with bold black stripes that appear as thick pin stripes.

The color black is often seen as a color of sophistication, as in 'the little black dress', or 'the black tie event'. Affluent and success orientated women often choose black as it can give an impression of elegance, sophistication and confidence.
Black is often associated with sexiness and seduction, as in the temptress in sexy black lingerie creating an air of mystery and intrigue.
In color psychology, black means power and control, hanging on to information and things rather than giving out to others.

Positive and Negative Traits of the Color Black
Positive keywords include protection and comfort, strong, contained, formal, sophisticated, seductive, mysterious, endings & beginnings.
Negative keywords include aloof, depressing and pessimistic, secretive and withholding, conservative and serious, power & control, sadness and negativity.

The Color Black Represents
Mystery: Black is the unknown. It is secretive, keeping a lot buried inside, unwilling to show its real feelings.
Power and Control: Black is power and control of the self and others. It creates fear and intimidation.

Effects of the Color Black
Formal, dignified and sophisticated: As in the little black dress and the formal dinner suit.
Aloof: Black sets itself aside from others with its heavy and intense energy. It keeps others at arm's length.
Depressing: Black can close us to the positive aspects of life, forcing us to look at our disappointments and the black or negative aspects of our life. It can create a fear of the future.
Pessimistic: Too much black encourages us to look at the negative side of life.

I can never get enough of my "headache pose". :-)

There are so many fashionable ways to wear this top. My styling is the most simple among the long list of "how-to-style-the-black-sheer-top".

I Work with Pink

I love this shade of pink on my cellphone and netbook.

I think its close to old rose.  It's pink = girly but not flashy, perfect for a professional.  Fits for my generation too ( me, a product of the 80's).  I 'work' (do net researcher for my daytime work, do blogging for past time, play Angry Birds now, but was a Plants vs. Zombies addict, do updating my online shop (known by a few) in my mini offiice, inside my yellow bedroom with my pink hp mini and pink blackberry curve.  Guess what, both gadgets are sponsored by special individuals in my small circle.

Even with my gadgets, I embed color coordination in my selection.  In my mini office, I am facing the wall, painted in yellow and decorated with wall stickers (still with the color pink) and photos that inspire me to do the best for my --- days.

HP mini 110, thanks to my dad!  Pink Blackberry, thanks to my 'partner-in-crime', my soon to be business partner.  If not for them, I could not have the chance to get hold of these.

Thanks to my special sponsors! lol.  But really, I thank them with deep sincerity.
